Major Network Outage

We have been investigating a high number of "Slow broadband" reports. This is affecting connection to online applications and to call quality ob VOIP systems.

The issue appears to be nation wide and affecting BT, Sky, TalkTalk and others.

If you are affected we suggest powering down your router for a minimum of 10 Minutes, this will allow your current internet session to clear before reconnecting, giving you a new session hopefully avoiding the incident bottle neck.

Tearfund Drumlanrig Challenge

The Tearfund Drumlanrig challenge is organised and supported by members of churches from Dumfries and Nithsdale. Their aim is to provide participants with a memorable and enjoyable cycling challenge in the glorious scenery and traffic free roads around Drumlanrig Castle, and at the same time raise funds for Tearfund. Tearfund is a Christian charity dedicated to bringing relief, hope and a future to some of the worlds poorest communities and to those suffering from natural and man-made disasters.

Participants have the choice of a 81 miles or a 57 miles or 26 miles cycling challenge. Whatever route you choose you have the added challenge of tackling the copious supplies of sandwiches and home baking provided by the church members at the feed stations and at the finish in the magnificent grounds of Drumlanrig Castle.
